How to use this printable
Choose a theme
Try a morning question before your day starts or an evening question when you are ready to reflect. There is no required order.
Write one response
Copy a question into the prompt space and write for a few minutes. A short, honest answer is enough; the page does not need to look finished.
Return when it helps
Use the same prompt more than once or choose a new one tomorrow. Print another writing page when you need room.
Five-minute journal prompts for everyday reflection
The morning section includes “What would make today a good day?” The evening section asks “What went well today, and why?” These give you a focused start without requiring a long diary entry. Use your own words and stop when you have said what you need to say.
Gratitude, self-love and future-self prompts
Choose a gratitude question when you want to notice something small, or a future-self question when you want to explore a goal. You can skip any prompt that feels unhelpful. This is a writing resource rather than a mental-health assessment or a treatment programme.
Frequently asked questions
How many journal prompts are included?
There are thirty prompts: five each for morning, evening, gratitude, self-love, overthinking and future self.
Do I have to journal for exactly five minutes?
No. Five minutes is a suggested starting point. You can write a few lines or spend longer if that suits you.
Does it include a blank journal page?
Yes. Page two has room for the date, your chosen prompt, your writing and three good things from the day.
